THE CYCLE OF IPL HAS CHANGED WITH YOUNG INDIANS IN 2020

IPL-2020

Before the start of IPL-2020, all the talks are going on about watching Ms Dhoni after the WC Semifinal 2019 and will he be able to come back into team ?? Chennai and Mahi did start practice in the Chepauk stadium but the sudden arrival of Corona Virus paused the whole proceedings. By the start of August there was no possibility of arranging the 13th season of IPL. But, as the government has relaxed some of the rules, BCCI had decided to shift the IPL in UAE with three crowd-less stadiums; Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah holding the whole competition. But, the sudden announcement of Dhoni's retirement on 15th August increases the excitement a bit more to see the former Indian Captain.

But when all those things are shaping in, actually inside, teams are gearing up for the challenge for another exciting year. RCB's departure from Chinnyaswamy and a new balanced side had made them favourites  whereas according to the bookmakers it's SRH who will keep their hands on the trophy on 10th November.

THE WOES OF CHENNAI

IPL-2020

“IPL is the tournament where seven teams fight with each other to meet Chennai in the final.” The line doesn't seem to be quite right this year with them. Obviously most of the players haven't played for a year or so but this could only be an excuse for the second best team of the league. Their start was on track beating Mumbai with the contributions of Faf & Rayudu. But since then, they haven't faced a lot of success. In Sharjah, questions had raised about their approach in the batting chasing a huge score of 218. Again the same story were against DC & SRH. The hot and humid conditions of Dubai has made more problems for Dhoni as we have seen him breathing long and coughing a bit. So, after 5 games CSK have just 4 points in the kit but the show by Watson & Faf against Punjab will surely increase their faith to their road going forward.

YOUNG INDIANS IN IPL-2020

IPL-2020

This year's IPL is all about the young Indian talents who are the bright future of the blue brigade. Devdutt Padikkal, Shivam Mavi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Prithvi Shaw, Ravi Bishnoi, Priyam Garg, Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, Shubhman Gill; the list is quite a big one. All are of their young ages, fresh legs and mindsets. The success of this bunch of Students should go to their principal Rahul Dravid. This is something new in this year's IPL as if you see the list of orange and purple cap holders, most of them are the Indians and some are of this young generation. That shows how bright the future of Indian Cricket is going to produce.

OLD PROBLEMS OF KXIP

IPL-2020

The way Punjab started, it seems to be the are one of the most balanced side of this year's IPL. Though luck doesn't favour them; Rahul's century against Bangalore just headlined last week. But nothing seems to be ok since then. Their 226 was chased by a Rahul Tewatia special that they would win 9 out of 10 times. Mumbai match could be the match where they hadn't played collectively as a troop. Then against CSK in Dubai, where the trend was like batting first and you will win match, they were just blown away by Faf & Watson special. With a single win in first 5 games, they had the most tough job in hand of winning 7 of their last 9. Now, their problem is no stability in the batting after KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal; and their bowling is not off that quality. But there is a player in their Squad from U-19 side, Ishan Porel, whom they can try and see what he has in their tank. One more thing is, will they go with Mujeeb now ??

RCB AND EARLY SUCCESS

IPL-2020Virat Kohli and Co. is not known for their early success but their 3 wins in 4 games are quite new in their set-up. One good thing about the franchise this year is that they haven't depend so much on Virat & Ab unlike the last so many years. Whenever they fail to deliver, the team had no answers to the opponents questions. But, in this year players like Padikkal, Finch, Saini, Chahal, Dube all have raised their hands and taken the responsibility. Their good bowling is not the best but better than last couple of years. This early success will surely boost their confidence going forward in the upcoming games.

So, this is how the cycle of IPL-2020 has changed quite a bit. The third week has started and from now, teams will want to win as much as games knowing their settled playing eleven. Quite interestingly, CSK will again play 4 games with couple of days break and it'll be interesting top see how they pull up themselves from the ho and humid conditions of UAE.
