MID SEASON TRANSFER, LACK OF JUDGEMENT AND UP-DOWN IN POINTS TABLE SPICE UP IPL-2020

The Indian Premier League has crossed quite a few days and teams have started to know their best playing eleven; although it's not the case for every franchise. Probably, this week has given us a proper view on how things are flowing for all the groups. So many young Indians have stepped up and done an excellent job for their respective sides like Rahul Tripathi, Prasidh Krishna, Prithvi Shaw, Shubhman Gill, Riyan Parag and many more. 

But, there are some players in the backyard who haven't made a appearance till now and are looking at the upcoming Mid-Season Transfer Policy. No one wants to warm the bench for the whole season rather than contributing in the team's success but something leaders need to take tough decisions.

MID SEASON TRANSFER POLICY :

BCCI has brought the transfer policy in the mid season of the IPL keeping team's injury concerns or lack of matching conditions in mind. It speaks that teams can change their players who haven't played more then 2 games. The only difference of the rule from the last year is that it was eligeble for only uncapped players in 2019 but for both capped and un-capped in 2020. 

 There are so many players who could trade to a new team and help the side by contributing like Manan Vohra, who haven't got a chance for Punjab could fit to the teams like Chennai or Rajasthan. Crish Gayle could easily walk into another team as can Dhawal Kulkarni or someone like Imran Tahir. But, at the end of the equation, it's the team's choice about how they have planned their future. 

LACK OF JUDGEMENT FROM A EXPERIENCE TEAM  :

Why do you want to have experience in your side?? It's because you want to take bold decisions & don't want to slip the game from your hand. Chennai Super Kings who have all the experience from all over the world had slipped the game against KKR. From being requirement of 68runs in 8 overs with 9 wickets in hand, they had ended up losing the game by 10-runs. "Disappointed that we let it slip." lamented Coach Stephen Fleming after the loss. In the next game, the shot that Faf du Plesis got out told that the panic button has been pressed in the CSK camp and with 2 wins from half league stage, their successful story of qualifying the Playoffs look so bleak. 

GAME OF INCHES  :

The game on Saturday noon draws you what kind of a season it was for King XI Punjab. After restricting Knight Riders for 164, and then setting a 100 run opening partnership in a run-chase and that too by experienced combo, one of which is captain; come on you could only have a nightmare of losing the game rather than bossing it. Maxwell needed to hit a six and he missed the margin by 2 inches to take them to a super-over. In those kind of close games, suddenly those extra runs and wide throws haunted you when you lose them. On the other hand, KKR will be flying from those two close games. 

IPL OF ALL THE RAHULs :

This year's Indian Premier League is all about Rahul's whether its Chahar, KL, Tripathi or Tewatia; all are doing impressive stuffs for their particular side. In the game against SRH, the partnership of Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia just had taken the game from Warner's hand and most importantly, they had taken the charge against Rashid Khan hitting him two reverse sweep and one over covers. Tripathi's innings of 80 had made it easy for KKR vs the Super Kings. Shouldn't there be an award for the best Rahul??

The points table is moving so much; that any team could ended up being in the top four. Although things are looking so easy for Delhi & Mumbai and as opposite for the two Kings. Still, the Week of Revenge is coming and everyone will look to get the better of their opponents in the second attempt.
